Range Rover Evoque: Block Heater

Removal

1. Refer to: Cooling System Partial Draining, Filling and Bleeding (303-03B Engine Cooling - GTDi 2.0L Petrol, General Procedures).

2. Refer to: Engine Undershield (501-02 Front End Body Panels, Removal and Installation).

3. Refer to: Front Bumper Cover (501-19 Bumpers, Removal and Installation).

4. NOTE: Measure and mark a 70mm section of the pipe using the clamp as a guide.

5. NOTE: Discard the bolt and clamp.

Installation

1. Torque: 20 Nm

2. Torque: 6 Nm

3. NOTE: Using a suitable tool, cut a 70mm gap from the coolant pipe.

4. Torque: 3 Nm

5. CAUTION: Protect the surrounding paintwork and body from the movement of the cutting blades.

NOTE: Following the indent on the bumper and using a suitable tool, cut a 26mm hole in the front bumper cover.

7. Refer to: Front Bumper Cover (501-19 Bumpers, Removal and Installation).

8. CAUTION: Make sure the retaining clip is secured correctly.

10. NOTE: Make sure all ground connections are correctly installed. Torque: 10 Nm

11. Fill the engine coolant and test the block heater for correct operation.
