Removal

CAUTION: Do not allow the side air curtain module to twist. Failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the component.

NOTES:

Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

Refer to: Specifications (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, Specifications).

2. Make the SRS system safe.

Refer to: Standard Workshop Practices (100-00 General Information, Description and Operation).

3. Refer to: Headliner (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).

4. Torque: 10 Nm

6. CAUTION: Take extra care not to damage the wiring harnesses.

7. CAUTIONS:

Take extra care not to damage the component.

Note the fitted position of the component prior to removal.

NOTE: Make sure that the component is installed to the position noted on removal.

Torque: 10 Nm

Installation

1. NOTE: If the original component is to be installed, then the washers on the retaining bolts will require loosening to aid the location of the retaining hooks. If a new component is being installed this instruction will not be required.

2. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

3. If a new component has been installed, configure using Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment.
